I get that this is emotional material for acting, but I can't use that for middle school drama. Returning this book because we were disappointed in the content. The monologues are all about boyfriend/girlfriend problems. Very boring and lack character. Not acceptable for my drama students.
Easily found a comedic monolugue for my teenage daughter. Lots to choose from, thankfully we picked on fast that fit her well.

This book is useful in that it gives a lot of monologues. I found myself having a hard time choosing one. I'm currently a high school student and would recommend this for any teens.
I purchased this book as a Christmas gift for my son and he is very pleased. I am happy with this purchase.
Almost every male monologue is about girl issues. For a younger performer, 12-14, these are really not appropriate. The comedic ones are not terribly funny. Overall, we found one or two male monologues that would be useful for a 12-14 yr old performer. Older actors might find some of this collection more useful, but we didnt.
I got this for an audition for an agency and I got in!!! The book provides so many useful monoglues that are actually funny and real!
